Imagine stopping at your local Stewart's to pick up a cup of coffee or gallon of milk and walking away one million dollars richer. That's exactly what happened to three local lotto winners. YNN's Matt Hunter has their story.

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – "You always think positive, never negative about anything," Ansel Lyman said.
Ansel Lyman, 82, had a good feeling about the scratch off ticket he purchased at the Stewart's on Route 67 in Galway on September 14th, yet, when it came back a winner, he was still in shock.
"I still can't believe it. It's amazing to win $1 million. It's unbelievable," Lyman said.
Lyman was one of three lucky winners to receive a $1 million check from the New York Lottery on Tuesday. All three purchased their golden tickets at a different Capital Region Stewart's last month.
"I was on my way home from shopping and I asked him if he needed milk and I said I'd just stop and grab some anyway and I ended up playing my numbers and grabbed a quick pick while I was here," lotto winner Diane Staples said.
"It's a little breathtaking. You kind of question if you're dreaming," Douglas Adams said.
Both Staples, an accountant from Mechanicville, and Adams, a bee farmer from Monroe County, say they weren't even aware they won until a few days later. Even more unlikely, both are only occasional lotto players.
"I pulled the numbers up on my screen and I couldn't believe it. I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me," said Staples, who purchased her ticket on September 22 at the Stewart's on Route 9P in Saratoga Springs.
"I guess I just felt like I should play a ticket that day because it wasn't one of those huge, humongous jackpots but it was worth taking a chance," said Adams, who picked up his winning ticket at the Stewart's on Main Street in Cobleskill.
Including the lucky trios, seven winning million dollar lotto tickets have been purchased at Stewart's Shops this year. It’s been a string of good fortune that's likely to inspire many more to take a chance.
"You always wonder why you don't win more often,” Adams said. “Maybe this is the way it should be."
