ALBANY, N.Y. -- The Albany Devils are back in town and ready to start their AHL season on Saturday at home.
The Devils failed to make the playoffs last year, but they're hopeful they'll get their this season. Albany opens against Manchester with a game time of 5:05 pm.
The league will look a little different this season because of the NHL lockout. Some of the younger players who would be playing in New Jersey are in Albany to stay in game shape.
Most notably Adam Henrique, who had a standout season last year in the New Jersey Devils. Henrique admits its a little odd to be back in the AHL, but both he and his coaches hope this will benefit the entire team.
