ALBANY, N.Y. -- The College of Saint Rose officially opened the Richard Huether School of Business. A ribbon cutting was held at the new school on Madison Avenue.

Saint Rose President Dr. David Szcerbacki says the new school is important because it will allow future business leaders to gain more access to hands on experience. He says the school will better house the growing business, entrepreneurship and internship programs.

The building is named after Richard Huether of Schenectady for his generous donation to build the facility.

"The great thing about this building is you can't walk into without feeling uplifted. If you’re a student without feeling, the expectations for you are just a little bit higher, then it was before you came into the building," Huether said.

The project cost $3.5 million and is housed in a 19th century historic Queen Anne building.
