Teen arrested after car break-ins in Greenwich
GREENWICH, N.Y. -- A Ballston Spa teen was arrested following a rash of car break-ins in the Village of Greenwich.
Joseph Amash, 18, is accused of breaking into at least 30 parked cars during the early morning hours of Oct. 4 and stole loose change, bags, knives, iPods, and an iPhone.
According to Cambridge-Greenwich Police, Amash also entered a garage on Washington Street where he stole beer and stabbed two cats. One died from his injuries.
Amash is charged with third-degree burglary. He is also facing several counts of petit larceny and two felony counts of animal cruelty. He is being held at the Washington County Jail on $20,000 bail.
