Man killed in hunting accident
QUEENSBURY, N.Y. -- A Queensbury man has been killed in a hunting accident this week. The Warren County Sheriff's office said Daniel Bemis was hunting in a tree stand several hundred yards behind his home on Berry Patch Drive, when he fell, and became tangled in his safety harness.
Police said he died of asphyxiation. They said Bemis appeared to have been using the harness correctly, but the angle at which he fell caused it to wrap around his body.
Bemis operated the Bemis Flooring company. His funeral is set for Saturday.
