TROY, N.Y. – Beginning tomorrow at 7 a.m., the City of Troy will close the upper part of Congress Street, between 15th Street and the intersection of Brunswick Avenue, Pawling Avenue, and Brunswick Road (Route 2). Traffic will be detoured around the intersection as crews begin paving operations on the final phase of the Congress Street rehabilitation and improvement project. The detour is expected to be in place for at least the remainder of the week.
Traffic traveling eastbound on Congress Street will be routed over 15th Street, to Tibbits Avenue, to Orchard Avenue and down to Brunswick Road (Route 2). Access to Pawling Avenue will only be available from Brunswick Road while the detour is in place. The same detour will be applied in reverse for traffic heading in the opposite direction.
