DETROIT, MI -- Game 4 of the American League Championship Series between the Yankees and the Detroit Tigers was postponed Wednesday night by the threat of heavy rains.
The game will now be played Thursday afternoon, with the first pitch scheduled for just after 4 p.m.
If necessary, Game 5 would then be played in Detroit Friday, which was supposed to be a travel day.
Games 6 and 7 will stay as scheduled for Saturday and Sunday in the Bronx.
The Yanks trail the series 3-0.
CC Sabathia and Max Scherzer, who were Wednesday's scheduled starters, will still pitch Thursday.
