Police said two men, one armed with a handgun, entered the apartment demanding money. A 20-year-old resident attempted to disarm the suspect and was shot once in the stomach. He was taken to Ellis Hospital where he was treated for non life-threatening injuries.

The suspects, who were wearing hoodies and masks, are still on the loose.
