Seven arrested outside of armory
ALBANY, N.Y. -- An Albany police officer is recovering after having a bleach-like liquid thrown in his eyes. It happened outside the Washington Avenue Armory Thursday night.
A crowd of about 2,000 people were waiting to get into a foam party the venue was hosting. Around 10 p.m., a group of attendees rushed the Armory's entrance, with many becoming combative.
Seven people were eventually arrested.
Two other officers suffered minor injuries.
