Overnight shooting sends two to hospital
SCHENECTADY, N.Y. -- Two people are recovering after being shot overnight in Schenectady. Police said it happened near 1311 State Street just after 11:00 p.m. on Saturday.
According to police, they received a call from a man saying he and his girlfriend had been shot. When officers arrived, they found a 26-year-old man who had been shot in the hand, and a 23-year-old woman who was shot in the stomach.
The two victims were transported to Albany Medical Center. They are both expected to survive. There is no word yet on their identities or any arrests.
