VOORHEESVILLE, N.Y. -- A six-month-old puppy is recovering after falling from a cliff in Thacher Park. According to the Albany County Sheriff's office, the puppy, named Shiba, ran off a cliff near Hales Cave.

Officials say Shiba's owners were walking her on Saturday, when she strayed away and fell. Deputies and rescue crews repelled down the cliff area where they eventually found Shiba hiding in a three foot crevice with a broken leg.

She was treated on the scene and then given back to her owner, who then brought her to the Latham Animal Hospital for emergency care.
