MENANDS, N.Y. -- It's back to work at the Verizon building in Menands after a white powder forced workers outside. According to police, a powdery substance was found in an envelope Monday morning.

Both hazmat and forensics were called to the scene. More than a dozen people were quarantined in the building's mail room, while the other employees were forced to evacuate.

According to police, the powder was found to be not dangerous, and everyone was allowed back inside.
