Girl Scouts helping Red Cross with blood drive
ALBANY COUNTY -- Girls Scouts across the Capital Region are teaming up with the American Red Cross to hold a blood drive today at the Abram Lansing Elementary School in Cohoes.
The "Halloween Blood Bash" gathers scouts from Cohoes, Green Island and Watervliet to help the Red Cross in educating people about donating blood.
The public is not only encouraged to attend but donate as well.
While adults donate, a party will be going on with music and games for children.
Blood donations will be taken from 3:30 until 7 p.m. and the Halloween Bash will be from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m.
