There's still plenty of time left to get your scream on before Sandy and Halloween arrive next week. Our Brooke Selby was in Lake George with more on where those loud screams are coming from.

LAKE GEORGE, N.Y. -- Screams coming from the North Country aren't only heard in the summer. For the past 14 years, Six Flags Great Escape in Lake George has been scarring visitors into enjoying the fall season with Fright Fest. But none of those years can rival what's in store at Fright Fest 2012.

"This is our biggest, most exciting Fright Fest we've had," said Rebecca Close.

That's because the park has added a new attraction to the event. It's called the Saloon of Darkness

Close said, "Saloon of Darkens is a complete pitch black maze. It makes it different because you never see a thing from the time that you walk in and never adjust from the very beginning you walk in to the minute you walk out, you never see a thing."

The park has been preparing the maze for months behind the scenes and it's not just the loud screams that are getting all the attention. The scary faces here are turning guests heads too.

"Around 40 or 50 people come through that I have to get done in a matter of hours," said makeup artist Phil Singer.

One of the most surprising things for visitors coming to Fright Fest is that the park and all of the rides are still open.

"This time of year, as it starts to get brisk, people are looking to get outside and enjoy that last bit of fresh air and this is the perfect place to do it,” Close said.

Fright Fest will continue through Sunday.
