TAMARAC, N.Y. -- The Tamarac boys varsity soccer coach was fired, following alleged remarks that he made on his Facebook. Charlie Meacham was relieved of his duties on Friday, after making what the district referred to as insensitive remarks, on his Facebook page.

A statement on the district's website did not specify what those remarks were. The Friday night game against Ichabod Crane was played as scheduled, with the principal, assistant principal, and athletic director serving as the coaches. The district issued an apology for his remarks.
