COEYMANS, N.Y. -- Village officials in Coeymans are ready for Sandy. They said aside from emergency crews preparing, the Ravena Coeymans Selkirk High School will be utilized as a shelter for anyone forced to evacuate their home.

Officials ask that people who live in flood prone areas, including Miller Road and Macintosh Lane, should make plans to evacuate in case of flooding.
