COLONIE, N.Y. -- Officials at Albany Airport tell us the airport will be open today, and some air carriers are planning to resume flights as soon as 11:40 a.m.

However, dozens of flights are already cancelled out of Albany. Some airlines, like U.S. Airways, are cancelling service until Wednesday morning, and Cape Air has canceling through the remainder of today.

An Albany International Airport spokesman says although they have cots set up for stranded travelers, people are still urged to keep in contact with their airlines or go to the airport's web page for the latest flight changes.

They also say the airport is ready to take on the possible influx of diverted flights and emergency landings because of the storm.
