Big Blue escapes by a pinky; Gang Green continues to struggle
DALLAS, TX -- After racking up a quick 23 points in the first half on Sunday, The New York Giants struggled to put together an offense and their defense didn't look so hot either. The Cowboys were able to quickly erase the deficit to eventually go up by a point in the third quarter.
After a couple field goals by Lawrence Tynes, Big Blue went up by five points, making way for Tony Romo to have a last effort drive to end the game. Romo eventually connected with Dez Bryant with what looked to be the game winning touchdown, but after checking the replay, the referees overturned the call, stating that Bryant's hand came down on the white strip in the back of the endzone.
The Giants are now 6-2 on the season. They're home next Sunday to play Pittsburgh at 4:25 pm.
Dolphins ground Jets at home
The Jets had an unfortunate performance against the Miami Dolphins. Miami went up 20-0 before Nick Folk was able to kick a 38 yard field goal for the Jets' first points. The Jets would eventually fall 30-9 against the division rival. They are now 3-5 in the AFC East and 2-2 within the division. They'll join the Patriots this week on a bye before heading to Seattle on November 11th.
Buffalo takes advantage of bye week
Meanwhile the Buffalo Bills had a weekend off from the bye week. They're next game will be in Houston to face the 6-1 Texans at 1:00 pm on Sunday.
