ULSTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- Winds from Sandy claimed the life of a woman in Ulster County. State Police say Doreen Richardson, 69, was driving at the Mountain Valley Resort Trailer Park in Kerhonkson when a large piece of a roof blew into her windshield. Her car continued on and hit an empty mobile home before it stopped.

Richardson died at the scene.
