NEW YORK -- Amtrak service between Albany-Rensselaer and Penn Station in New York City remains suspended today. This, as crews continue to clean up the tracks along the Northeast corridor that were affected when Sandy hit earlier this week.

Crews are picking up downed trees and making repairs to damaged tracks as well as signal and power systems.

Because of the amount of water in tunnels downstate, there's no timetable as to when service will be restored.

Amtrak is still providing service to stations to west of Albany-Rensselaer.
