NEW YORK CITY -- New York City continues its difficult recovery after super-storm Sandy.

The subways re-opened today with limited service. Trains south of 34th Street are still closed due to heavy flooding. Carpools with less than three people are being turned away from the city through midnight.

LaGuardia Airport opened today with limited service. JFK and Newark re-opened on Wednesday.

City schools remain closed. Many are being used as shelters.
