TROY, N.Y. -- The Preservation League of New York state has presented a grant to the City of Troy.

The $5,000 grant will allow for surveys, which take a look at the historic manufacturing buildings along River Street. All seven of the buildings within the surveyed area fall within a New York State rehabilitation tax credit-eligible tract. The program's regional director says the buildings are all useable.

“This one in particular has been slated for redevelopment. There is another building on this strip that is also being rehabilitated. So they all present opportunities, both current and future for economic revitalization," said Erin Tobin, Regional Director of Technical and Grant Programs.

The Troy Architectural Program will complete the survey.
