Knicks remain undefeated at 5-0
NEW YORK, N.Y. -- The New York Knicks are the only undefeated team still standing in the NBA. The Knicks continued their winning streak Tuesday night against the Orlando Magic.
The Magic kept pace with the Knicks for the first half, holding the lead into the third quarter, but the Knicks were able to shut it down in the second half holding Orlando to just 13 points in the fourth quarter.
Carmelo Anthony led the team in scoring with 25 points followed by J.R. Smith and Raymond Felton who each had 21 points.
The Knicks are now 5-0 for the first time in almost two decades. The last time New York started a season like this year was in the 1993-1994 season where they also made a run to the NBA Finals.
Nets have a knack for winning
BROOKLYN, N.Y. -- The Brooklyn Nets continue their winning ways. Their three game win streak has dug them out of an early 1-2 hole from the beginning of the season.
The Nets outscored the Cleveland Cavaliers 114-101 in front of 17,000 fans at the Barclays Center on Tuesday.
Three Nets players had 20 points or more. Deron Williams led the team with 26 points followed by Joe Johnson with 25 and Brook Lopez with 23.
Brooklyn is now 4-2 on the season. They'll play host to the Boston Celtics on Thursday at 8:00 pm.
