SCHENECTADY, N.Y. -- Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Albany will now better serve hundreds of people in need.

The Diocese opened a brand new furniture warehouse in Schenectady. It offers bedding, dressers, couches and other household items for people on limited incomes.

The program director says it helps people from all walks of life.

"Very often, people who are starting out again are not able to have their children come live with them because they don't have the essentials they need. Such as bedding for the children. Or they might be veterans who are just getting back from service," said Anne Patnode, Program Director of Basic Needs and Community Based Services for Catholic Charities.

The warehouse will be centrally located to all 14 counties that Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Albany serves.
