ALBANY COUNTY, N.Y. -- It's a sure sign the holiday season is almost here: the Christmas trees that will soon call Albany home for the holidays will be cut down today. One will be cut later this morning from a home in Loudonville that will go to East Capitol Park downtown.
Workers attempted to cut the other tree earlier this week on Tuesday, but experienced issues when the truck that was brought in to remove the tree broke down. The 30 foot tall blue spruce was donated by Lise Poolet of Latham. That tree will soon call the Empire State Plaza home. A ceremony to light the tree will take place in early December.
