COLONIE, N.Y. -- Several water main breaks made a mess of things in Colonie. There were four breaks in total, two on Friday and two on Thursday. They were all in the lower Boght Road and Crabapple Lane areas.
A spokesperson for Colonie says they are all most likely related to Thursday's fire on Elm Street. The increased demand for water to fight the fire put a strain on the system.
