MIDDLETOWN, N.Y. -- Black Friday is still days away, but that hasn't stopped people in Middletown from lining up at a Best Buy store.

Dozens of the same people come to the Best Buy in Middletown each year, making it their own Thanksgiving tradition. Those we spoke with say they have been skipping out on Thanksgiving dinner for the past six to eight years just to line up. Some say they were there as early as Monday night.

"The first probably 10 to 15 people know each other from the past several years, so we're all like hey how's it going, catching up, so yeah, we all watch out for each other’s stuff. I’ve been to this location, I think this is my seventh time to this Best Buy, so this is how we do every single Black Friday. We come a couple days early, camp out and do some shopping. I mean, you can get turkey any time of the day, or any day, but I like pizza better," said Newburgh resident Bryndon Romero.

Best Buy hands out vouchers to each person in line ahead of time for the items they want to purchase, making the shopping rush more organized.
