SCHENECTADY, N.Y. -- Over in Schenectady, the Salvation Army hosted their annual Thanksgiving meal for those in need.
Volunteers dished out nearly 500 free meals to those in the community. The meals were prepared at the Salvation Army's Meals on Wheels facility.
Organizers say this holiday season, they're thankful for the continued support from the city.
"Thank you Schenectady for continuing to support us and we are trying to make these holidays happy for those who are around town and may not have otherwise have had a happy holiday," said Salvation Army Major Mike Himes.
The turkey meal was topped off with all the trimmings and pies for dessert.
