Big Blue sends Green Bay packing

By: Web Staff

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- The bye week proved to be just what the Giants needed. Riding a two game losing streak going into Sunday's game against the Packers, the Giants looked to grab a win at home.

The early minutes of the game looked like the night was going to be more of a shootout than blowout. After a rebuttal touchdown by Aaron Rodgers early in the first quarter, Green Bay would only score once more in the entire game.

The Giants, however, had themselves a night to remember and build on. Big Blue scored five times and kicked a field goal to win Sunday night 38-10. The running game showed some life, rushing for only 147 yards but two touchdowns.

Meanwhile, after struggling in his last three games to get the ball into the endzone, Eli Manning accounted for three passing touchdowns and 249 yards. Most importantly, he had zero turnovers. So far this year he's had 11 interceptions.

Hakeem Nicks, Victor Cruz, and Rueben Randle each had a receiving touchdown.

The Giants will look to keep the positive momentum going as they head to Washington next week for a division rival matchup.
