SARATOGA COUNTY, N.Y. – If you've been meaning to try a new restaurant, this is the week to do it. The eighth annual Saratoga Restaurant week is underway.

54 restaurants serving all different types of cuisine and spanning all of Saratoga County are participating. That's a record for the event.

Organizers say the growth in participation comes after a change to the pricing structure. In the past, the fixed price for an entree was just over $18. Now, some restaurants will offer $10, $20 and $30 dinner options, as well as lunch options that are even less expensive.

"With that price change our feeling was we could attract more restaurants to be able to participate - and certainly more diners - because they have more choices," said Todd Garofano, President Saratoga Convention and Tourism Bureau.

Organizers say the event was originally confined to Saratoga Springs, but growing interest has sparked participation from Clifton Park all the way to Wilton.
