ALBANY, N.Y. -- A group of UAlbany students plan to spend their day helping Sandy victims.

The students left early Saturday morning and are heading to the Rockaway Beach area of Queens. There they plan to spend the day doing what they can to clean the storm stricken area.

"We've sent a lot of supplies. The University has done that as well, but today we're bringing 110 students down there to actually do the work, to make this happen. There is a lot of people just waiting for their homes to be touched and they need the help desperately," said Sandy Damhol, Protestant Campus Ministry.

The group plans to return home late Saturday night.
