Health care worker sentenced for stealing from elderly blind woman
SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. -- A Saratoga Springs woman has been sentenced to up to nine years in state prison for stealing more than $300,000 from an elderly blind woman she provided care for.
According to the Saratoga County's District Attorney, Michele Rose pleaded guilty to grand larceny last month. The DA says Rose stole the life savings of an 82-year-old woman who was under her care.
Rose was also ordered to pay restitution.
