Berkshire County deputy arrested in NY for DWI, harassment
POESTENKILL, N.Y. -- State Police in Schodack arrested a deputy sheriff from Berkshire County for DWI and harassment.

According to State Police, Paula Baratto, 41, of Dalton was observed driving erratically on State Route 351 in the Town of Poestenkill on Nov. 30. During the stop, she failed a field sobriety test at the scene and was arrested.

While being processed in Sand Lake, State Police said she kicked the arresting trooper, leading to the second-degree harassment charge.

Baratto was released on an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in the Town of Poestenkill at a later date.
