ALBANY, N.Y. -- A local family who lost their daughter, but donated the gift of life with her organs, has unveiled a beautiful floral rendering of their daughter that will be featured in a float in the Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena, California.

Delany Van Wert, an eighth grader at Van Antwerp Middle School, passed away in 2010 at the age of 13. Her image will now be a part of the "Donate Life" float, along with more than 70 other donors.

Delany's parents, Tom and Sue Van Wert, hope her image, and her story will inspire other people to register for organ donation.
