State Police arrest off-duty trooper for DWI
ALBANY, N.Y. -- State Police arrested an off-duty trooper who they say crashed his own car while driving drunk.
State Police say Gregory Bennett, 39, crashed his personal car on I-90 westbound at the Exit 3 off ramp in Albany, around 6:30 p.m. Sunday. Bennett suffered minor facial injuries and was treated at Albany Medical Center. Police say a test indicated he was driving while intoxicated.
Bennett is a 13 year member of the New York State Police Department. He was arrested for DWI and suspended without pay.
