SARATOGA, N.Y. -- The Saratoga First Night celebration just got a lot louder. The fireworks display at the New Years Eve event in the City of Saratoga is back on. Saratoga Arts made the announcement on Thursday after canceling the Congress Park display amid staffing, budget and safety concerns earlier this week.

Since then, local business leaders have stepped up, helping to raise about $10,000. That money will be used to pay for additional security, fireworks and logistical planning.

This year's theme is Explore the Night, with organizers urging people to come out to see or hear something they haven't before.

Last year, there were 35 venues and 70 music, comedy, and art events.
