Glens Falls Mayor wants bars to close earlier
GLENS FALLS, N.Y. -- Glens Falls Mayor John Diamond is calling for bars in Warren County to close at 2 a.m. instead of 4 a.m. following an attack on South Street last weekend.
Diamond also wants increased police patrols on South Street, while his office and police work with bar owners on a neighborhood safety plan.
The mayor said, "We can't sit back and do nothing as the wave of violence on South Street continues. This type behavior is unacceptable and I'm determined to curb it using any and all means at our disposal."
