SCHENECTADY, N.Y. -- Schenectady police say they are now investigating the death of Mary Greco, 82, as a homicide.

Officials had said they were hoping to have preliminary autopsy results by the end of the day Wednesday, however, those results have not been made public.

The former nun, who is seated on the right in this picture, was found by her landlord inside her Stanford Street home Tuesday morning. Police are also investigating why her car was found in the parking lot of St. John the Evangelist Church shortly after her body was found.

Police say there was no sign of forced entry. They say Greco lived alone, but did have family living in the area.
