ALBANY, N.Y. -- People in Albany took in the last lights of the season this weekend as they walked for a special cause.
Walkers took a scenic tour around Washington Park Lake to get their last look at the Price Chopper Holiday Lights. All of the donations collected Saturday will go to local food pantries.
Saturday was the last day of the Holiday Lights. Organizers say all in all, this year was a success.
“The season has been phenomenal. Our attendance has been up once again. The Capital District has so embraced Lights in the Park. It's such a tradition for so many families in the Capital District and beyond,” said Lenny Ricchiuti, Executive Director of the Albany Police Athletic League.
Saturday's walk was one of three charity walks at this year's Holiday Lights. There were two walks held in November.
