WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Students and faculty from the College of Saint Rose are heading to the nation's capital on Saturday to help out the city's needy.

The students plan to spend the last week of their winter break volunteering with programs that aid the homeless and people living with HIV and AIDS. They also plan to take their message to the offices of New York’s senators and representatives, advocating around the issues affecting the lives of those living in poverty.
