Administrator fired over nursing home assault
ALBANY COUNTY, N.Y. -- Following a case of alleged sexual assault at the Loudonville Nursing Home, an administrator with the home has been fired.
According to a spokesman for the facility, Melissa Brown was discharged from her position on Saturday.
Police say Richard Ragone, 64, a convicted rapist, worked at the home as a maintenance worker. They say he sexually abused a 91-year-old woman in her room.
Ragone faces charges of sexual abuse and endangering the welfare of a vulnerable elderly person.
