NEWBURGH, N.Y. -- With the holidays all wrapped up, it's time to start taking down all of your festive decorations. And the City of Newburgh wants to help make getting rid of your Christmas tree that much easier.
The DPW is providing normal curbside pickup, but if you want to get rid of your evergreen even faster, you can schedule an arranged pickup. To do that, you can call 845) 565-3297.
Just as a reminder, all tinsel and ornaments must be removed from the tree so they can be recycled into chips and mulch.
As a plus for gardeners, that free mulch will be available for spring planting at the DPW's Pierce’s Road site on Wednesdays from 8:30 a.m. till noon.
