ALBANY, N.Y. -- The City of Albany's residential parking permit system goes into full effect on Tuesday, Jan. 15.

There are three different residential parking zones within a three-quarter mile radius of the Empire State Plaza. Between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m., drivers can park in those designated areas for two hours only.

Violators will face a $50 fine with a $15 surcharge for parking in those areas outside of the two-hour window.
