Two men arrested in connection to several robberies

ALBANY, N.Y. -- Police arrested two men who they say are responsible for several armed robberies in the City of Albany. Albany police say the locations include two different Stewarts shops and Sham Candy and Grocery on Central Avenue.

Following an investigation, Aaron Jeffrey, 21, of Schenectady and Jahaad Heath, 22, of Watervliet were both arrested Thursday morning. Police say Jeffrey is charged with robbery, conspiracy and criminal use of a firearm for his role in all three robberies. Heath is charged with robbery and conspiracy for his role in two robberies. Both men were arraigned and sent to Albany County Jail.

Police say the men are also responsible for robberies in the Town of Colonie and the Village of Menands. They say charges from those robberies are pending.
