State Police list assault weapons online
Thursday the New York State Police posted a list of assault weapons on their website. Many YNN viewers have brought to our attention that the list is no longer available at the link provided. YNN is checking with the NY State Police see why the information is no longer available on at that link.
NEW YORK STATE -- New York State Police made an online list of all the guns affected by the New York SAFE Act.
State Police say they realize there's a lot of questions from gun owners about which weapons are actually classified as assault weapons under the new gun control laws. On their website, they've created an entire list.
The new law places restrictions on who can lawfully own the weapons and now, people who own any of the listen weapons must resister them within a year.
