POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- Haircuts and flu shots may not seem like a big deal to most people, but to the region's homeless, those are hard to come by. The Department of Housing and Development is holding their annual census event to gauge homelessness in Dutchess County.

And in collaboration with the Family Partnership Center, participants will be greeted with free haircuts, shaves and stylings. The Dutchess County Health Department will also be on-hand to provide free flu shots and other toiletry items.

The "Glamour Day" event runs from 1 p.m. until 6 p.m. at the Family Partnership Center on Hamilton Street in Poughkeepsie.
