SCHENECTADY, N.Y. -- Jury selection is scheduled to begin Thursday morning for the James Wells murder trial.

Prosecutors say Wells shot Schenectady High School basketball player Eddie Stanley last June. Police say James Wells shot Stanley five times at a house party in the Mont Pleasant neighborhood of Schenectady.

The indictment indicates that Wells accused Stanley and a few of his friends of stealing keys shortly before the early morning shooting.
