CAPITAL REGION, N.Y. -- Instead of watching the big game Sunday, Congressman Paul Tonko will be spending his third consecutive Super Bowl helping the needy.

The Congressman will be serving meals at the Capital City Rescue Mission in Albany and City Mission of Schenectady.

In a statement,Tonko says, "Super Bowl Sunday is often a time where family and friends gather together to watch the big game. But it’s also a time to remember those among us who are less fortunate and in need of help."

Following his community service, Congressman Tonko will attend The Four Chaplains Memorial Service where he will present a humanitarian award to former Amsterdam resident Father Anthony Sidoti.

Father Sidoti served as a World War II army chaplain and earned two silver stars, a Purple Heart, and a bronze star.
