ULSTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- Town of Marlborough Police are investigating a late night home invasion. Police say it happened around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday at a house on Church Street.

Police say two men approached a person visiting the home on its porch. The men allegedly asked for a ride, then followed the visitor inside the house.

Police say the visitor was confronted with a pistol and one shot was fired. The residents were then able to push the two men out of the house, at which point they fled on foot.

An investigation into the incident is ongoing. Anyone with any information is asked to contact Town of Marlborough Police at (845) 795-2181.
