WASHINGTON, D.C. -- All eyes will be on President Obama tonight as he's set to deliver his State of the Union speech in Washington.

The Associated Press reports that a person familiar with his speech said Obama is expected to announce more than 34,000 troops will come home from Afghanistan. It's all part of the President's next phase to end the war in Afghanistan by 2014.

His speech will also outline his goals for this year as well as his second term in office.

A good portion of his speech is expected to focus on boosting job creation and economic growth.

Some political analysts think the President is concerned that a poor economy could threaten his ability to pursue second-term priorities, such as gun control, immigration, and climate change. Obama spent last month focusing on gun control and immigration.

Two Republicans will give responses to the President's speech tonight. Senator Marco Rubio of Florida was chosen to give the official GOP response. Kentucky Senator Rand Paul will give the Tea Party's response.
